Eligibility
Open to citizens of West Khasi Hills, South West Khasi Hills and Eastern West Khasi Hills Districts.
Horse Registration Requirements
- All horses must be registered before the competition.
- Provide district details.
- Provide the name of the horse.
- Provide the name of the owner.
- Provide village or locality.
- Provide ownership and contact details.
Race Track
- Circular / oval track.
- Suggested track length: 400–600 metres per lap.
- Clearly marked starting and finishing lines.
- Clearly marked inner and outer boundaries.
- Adequate safety distance between the track and spectators.
Horse Racing Rules
- Horses will be divided into leagues/heats depending on the number of entries.
- Each race may consist of four to six horses.
- Each horse will compete in league races.
- Rankings will be determined by finishing position and recorded timings.
- The fastest-performing horses will qualify for the next round.
- The top four horses will qualify for the final race.
- The final race will determine the Gold, Silver and Bronze medal winners.
