Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls

SIR is a participative exercise involving all stakeholders including electors, political parties and election officials. ECI requests all political parties to appoint BLAs for each Polling Booth, in order to ensure full participation of political parties so that SIR is conducted with complete transparency and full participation of political parties.

The schedule of SIR Phase-III has been fixed keeping in view the common field machinery with the ongoing house listing of Census. West Khasi Hills emerged as one of the top-performing districts in the state for EF digitization, achieving 79.86% digitization as of 21 July 2026. 

In connection with the conduct of the Special Intensive Revision w.r.t 01.10.2026 as the qualifying date, Helpdesk is hereby setup at Room No. 61, D.C’s Office, Nongstoin along with the Data Entry Operators/ Enumerators for manning of the helpdesk in respect of 32 – Nongstoin (ST), 33 – Rambrai Jymgam (ST) & 34 – Mawshymut (ST) Assembly Constituencies, West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin. All Citizens are hereby encouraged to visit the Helpdesk Centre for any queries relating to the SIR exercise.
