Training on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) conducted for BLOs of 34-Mawshynrut AC.

Training on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) was imparted to the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of 34-Mawshynrut Assembly Constituency today, 23rd June, 2026, at the office of the SDO (Civil), Mawshynrut.

The District Level Master Trainers delivered an extensive presentation on the SIR exercise. All questions and doubts raised by the participants related to the SIR exercise were addressed by Shri. S. Marwein, Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), Assistant System Engineer and other officials.

Nongstoin, 18th June 2026 : A sensitisation and awareness programme on the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls was held today at 11:00 AM in the Conference Hall of the DC office, West Khasi Hills district.

The meeting was chaired by Smti. Hema Nayak, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, West Khasi Hills district. Representatives of various Political parties, EROs, AEROs, BDOs,DPRO, District Level Master Trainers, Staff of the election branch attended the meeting.

During the meeting the chairperson provided a detail overview of the entire SIR process, beginning with house-to-house enumeration till final publication of the Electoral Roll. She also sensitised the participants on the roles and responsibilities of EROs,AEROs, Supervisors and Booth Level Officers in ensuring the successful conduct of the exercise.

The chairperson further addressed queries raised by representatives of political parties regarding appointment of BLAs and other issues related to SIR exercise. Clarification were provided to ensure better understanding and cooperation among all stakeholders.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Chairperson.
